A layered and cool nose exhibits black currant, earth and more prominent floral scents, in particular violet and rose where the oak treatment is a bit more evident. This is perhaps the richest wine among these 1ers with good volume and punch on the austere and markedly firm but not aggressive finish. Provided that you have the patience to cellar this for at least 6 to 8 years this is worth considering. 91 2021+
